Roasted Cabbage Rounds

My mom made a delicious cabbage dish last night. Adapted from a favorite in our household, Martha Stewart.

If you like cabbage and are looking for a new way to make it, give this one a try!

Ingredients:

1 Head of green cabbage

Olive oil

Sea Salt

Pepper

Caraway / Fennel Seeds

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Brush a rimmed baking sheet with 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil. Place 1 medium head green cabbage, cut into 1-inch-thick rounds, in a single layer on sheet and brush with 2 tablespoons oil. Season with coarse salt and ground pepper and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon caraway or fennel seeds. Roast until cabbage is tender and edges are golden, 40 to 45 minutes.

This was a super simple and tasty dish. What a great find from Martha! We love her! Ive heard this can be done with cauliflower as well. Try it! Let us know what you think!
