A Day of 4 Block Zone Meals
Breakfast – Omelette
2 oz. deli style turkey slices chopped
2 egg whites
1 oz. cheddar cheese
1/3 tsp. olive oil
9 sliced olives OR 3 crushed macadamia nuts
2 cups cubed honeydew melon
Heat oil in skillet add egg white until slightly set add meat, cheese and olives.
Fold and turn and heat until cooked. Serve with melon.

Lunch – Strawberry Spinach Salad
3 Cups washed spinach
1/2 Cup sliced mushrooms
1 Cup sliced strawberries
1 Al Fresco brand chicken sausage or you could use 4 oz. of cooked, diced chicken
1 tsp olive oil
2 tsp raspberry vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup grapes for dessert
Mix the first 4 ingredients in a bowl.
In another bowl, whisk the oil, vinegar, and spices.
Pour over the salad.
Dinner – Lime Spice Chicken
4oz.skinless, boneless, fatless chicken breast
Lime to taste
Crushed Red Pepper to taste
Lawrey’s Season Salt to taste
1 tsp. olive oil
1 cups green beans
1 cup applesauce
1 macadamia nut,or 1 1/2 tsp. slivered almonds, or 6 peanuts
Heat on high a nonstick or cast iron pan with olive oil.
Place chicken in heated pan. Add red pepper and Lawrey’s.
Reduce heat to medium low after 4 minutes. Turn chicken frequently.
Last five minutes of cooking, squeeze 1/4 lime on chicken.
Total cooking time is 17 minutes. Serve with green beans.
Finish your meal with applesauce and nuts.
Snacks – 2-Blocks each
Cottage Cheese/Apple/Almonds
1/2 cottage cheese
1 Red Delicious or Granny Smith apple
6 almonds
spices: cinnamon and sugar (optional)
1/4 cup mashed chickpeas
1.5 tsp sesame oil
a pinch of minced garlic
salt & pepper to taste
Sliced carrots & steamed, but crispy, broccoli
2 oz Cooked sliced chicken breast
4 Almonds
Mix chickpeas with oil, garlic and salt and pepper.
Dip carrots, broccoli and chicken in hummus
